"Action for no reason"
My Movie Grading - D
I have been a total Transformers geek since the first movie was released with Shia LeBeouf in 2007. Since then 3 additional movies have been released 2 with Megan Fox, 3 with Shia LeBeouf and 1 with Mark Wahlberg. Though I loved the films - I really lost interest after Megan Fox left (I'm not a fan of hers but I liked her character - Mikaela).
You can imagine my dismay when I heard a 4th film had been ordered but my excitement that Michael Bay was returning as he always delivers some good action scenes. I did not go see this film in the theaters but I did rent it on Redbox. This film was disappointing. I love Mark but I'm suprised he even agreed to be apart of such a series addition.
A key few pointers about what you didn't miss by seeing this film:
*Cornball acting
*A complete overturn of Autobot trust (Humans are against the Autobots)
*Kelsey Grammer and Stanley Tucci arguing about money (when did this become about money)
*Autobots - only a few featured all new I believe except Bumblebee and Optimus Prime
*Unneccesary Explosions
*Large Alien Ships (what the hell)
*Slightly like The Avengers and the Giant worm hole
The nice suprise was to see Nicola Peltz (Katara - The Last Airbender) - if you saw the movie you wouldn't even recognize her. It took me a minute. Anyway - I would suggest seeing this movie only if you are a fan of the series and want to see the latest addition. You should have already seen the original movies as this features characters we already know.
That's my take,
L.
