First let me apologize for taking so long to write a review for this movie. I started it almost two weeks ago and forgot to finish it so sorry about that.

What more can anyone say about Denzel Washington's acting skills? The man has them and displays them so well not only in this film but in films alike (Man on Fire, Philadelphia, Glory) should I go on? The Equalizer starts out with little more than us following a man who seems to have a very set regime when it comes to how he lives his life. He has a place for everything and everything is in it's place. He works at a local (Home Depot) kind of place and seems to get along with all of his co-workers - it's just they can't get a hold of who he is or what he use to do? Long story short - he goes to a diner every day (seems like at the same time) and daily a young prostitute is their eating sweets (cake, pie, etc.). They strike up very short but deliberate conversations about the books that he's always reading and this goes on for a few weeks until he arrives at the diner only to be told by the owner (assumption) that she was beat up and is in the hospital. From there the rest is history and lots and lots of action, ass-kicking, fighting, sneak attacks, etc. The movie was AWESOME! Now I feel compelled to add that this seems to be very similar role to his character in "Man on Fire". Same type of personality, same type of past, excellent with a gun - saving a Caucasian female. Either way - I found the movie to be full of everything I like and had none of the stuff I don't. Haven't seen it check it out before it's gone or grab it on DVD when it's available.
That's my take,
