The Equalizer - I'm a huge Denzel fan so anything he does - I'm usually a supporter.
The Maze Runner - Heard a lot about the books, so Im really ready to see what the hype was about.
I love movie release weekends when a few films I'm interested in are being released and this upcoming weekend is about to be a doozy. Annabelle and Gone Girl. Already released but I plan to see in addition - The Equalizer and Maze Runner. I plan to squeeze in 3 films in one weekend and do another next week or so - Lets see if it works out.
Annabelle - Lots of folks will be going to see this and I plan to be one of them. I'm hoping it delivers the same amount of horror and sleepless nights as the Conjuring did.
Gone Girl - I really tried my hardest to read this book by the time the movie was released but I failed miserably. I only got about 10 pages in and got side tracked. Really hoping to read the book anyway after I see the film to ensure I don't miss any major parts that aren't featured in the film.
"Action for no reason"
My Movie Grading - D
I have been a total Transformers geek since the first movie was released with Shia LeBeouf in 2007. Since then 3 additional movies have been released 2 with Megan Fox, 3 with Shia LeBeouf and 1 with Mark Wahlberg. Though I loved the films - I really lost interest after Megan Fox left (I'm not a fan of hers but I liked her character - Mikaela).
You can imagine my dismay when I heard a 4th film had been ordered but my excitement that Michael Bay was returning as he always delivers some good action scenes. I did not go see this film in the theaters but I did rent it on Redbox. This film was disappointing. I love Mark but I'm suprised he even agreed to be apart of such a series addition.
A key few pointers about what you didn't miss by seeing this film:
*A complete overturn of Autobot trust (Humans are against the Autobots)
*Kelsey Grammer and Stanley Tucci arguing about money (when did this become about money)
*Autobots - only a few featured all new I believe except Bumblebee and Optimus Prime
*Large Alien Ships (what the hell)
*Slightly like The Avengers and the Giant worm hole
The nice suprise was to see Nicola Peltz (Katara - The Last Airbender) - if you saw the movie you wouldn't even recognize her. It took me a minute. Anyway - I would suggest seeing this movie only if you are a fan of the series and want to see the latest addition. You should have already seen the original movies as this features characters we already know.
That's my take,
Ever Wish you knew what those scary characters from movies really looked like....Well the wait is over. Below are a few of the scariest characters we've ever seen on the big screen and who the actor was that portrayed them....

I love when someone recommends a movie to me that I haven't seen yet. My father is famous for this :) He's constantly asking me about a movie that he knows I haven't seen but it makes me that much more determined to watch it so that we can have a discussion about it later. I wanted to share 10 movies that I have never seen but plan to see very soon.
I have never been a huge fan of the dreaded "Prequel" because in my own personal opinion - a prequel should be released well before the sequel instead of in the opposite order. It has always driven me crazy when a film is released and then 2 years+ later a prequel to the original movie is released. Usually a prequel is only released when the original film has a storyline that makes you wonder - well how did this come to be? or I wonder what made them like that?
Here is a listing of 5 of the best and worst movies with Prequels eventually released:
Star Trek (2009) Chris Pine, Zoe Saldana was a prequel to the Star Trek television series. The story goes into the past to look more in-depth at the life of famous Enterprise Captain - James Kirk.
The Plot: The brash James T. Kirk tries to live up to his father's legacy with Mr. Spock keeping him in check as a vengeful, time-traveling Romulan creates black holes to destroy the Federation one planet at a time.
Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011) Frieda Pinto & James Franco. This is the prequel to the Planet of the Apes story. This goes into a deeper look into the life of Ape Leader Caesar and how the Planet of the Apes uprising began.
The Plot: A substance, designed to help the brain repair itself, gives rise to a super-intelligent chimp who leads an ape uprising. His name is Caesar.
*BEST PREQUEL* - Multiple movies are expected in this series beyond the newly released "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes".
Hannibal Rising (2007) Dominic West & Gaspard Ulliel. Hannibal Rising is the prequel to the extremely popular Silence of the Lambs and Red Dragon films. This movie takes a look at Dr. Hannibal Lector and his life at a young age.
The Plot: After the death of his parents during World War II, young Hannibal Lecter moves in with his beautiful aunt and begins plotting revenge on the barbarians responsible for his sister's death.
Exorcist: The Beginning (2004) Stellan Skarsgard & Izabella Scorupco. This film goes more into the Priest that preforms the excorcism in the original movie - The Excorcist. This is movie does not look into Father Damien Karras life but instead into the life of .Father Lankester Merrin (the guy who is killed by Regan while she is possessed.
The plot: Years before Father Lancaster Merrin helped save Regan MacNeil's soul, he first encounters the demon Pazuzu in East Africa. This is the tale of Father Merrin's initial battle with Pazuzu and the rediscovery of his faith.
Prometheus (2012) Noomi Rapace & Charlize Theron. Anyone who's a fan of the Alien Series Films - should know that this was the prequel to the whole story behind Ripley.
The Plot: A team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.
There is probably no person alive more excited about Jurassic World than my husband. This man is so into the Jurassic Films that he does the one thing he complains to me about - watches the films every time they come on and even uses them for background noise when cleaning or doing other household activities. This is just an introduction for some and a notice of release for others - who may not have known there even was a 4th film in the series being worked on. Jurassic World has been plagued with the "Development from Hell" label as it has been almost a decade in the making. The original director - Steven Spielberg pulled out quite early in the discussions as arguments between Universal Studios and the writers became increasingly dysfunctional. Never mind those arguments now because the movie was finally given a green light and filming began in Hawaii in early 2014.
The plot according to Wikipedia is "Twenty-two years after the events of Jurassic Park, Isla Nublar now features a fully functioning dinosaur theme park, Jurassic World, as originally envisioned by John Hammond. This new park is owned by the Masrani Corporation. Owen (portrayed by Chris Pratt), a member of Jurassic World's on-site staff, conducts behavioral research on the Velociraptors. After many years, Jurassic World's attendance rates begin to decline and a new attraction created to re-spark visitor interest gravely backfires." The cast includes - Bryce Dallas Howard, Chris Pratt, BD Wong and Jake Johnson among others.
My expectation for this film is that it better not disappoint as it took longer than it should to have made. I hope that the film is full of action and drama and doesn't turn into some silly and disappointing addition to the series. I'm reluctant to even give my thoughts on how the film will turn out without Steven Spielberg but I'm going to try and have some faith in Colin Trevorrow - the Director assigned to the film. Very few things have leaked about the film yet which really excites me that it's being kept totally under raps - usually this means it's worth the wait! From the very very few photos taken of the cast in action - everything looks very typical of the Jurassic story line - lots of grunge, dirt and of course Dinosaur action. The movie is slated for a June 2015 release and let's hope nothing happens that changes the release date. Here's hoping!
Are you as excited about the fourth film?

You can't have movies without a Director or an actor or the film crew and definitely without the music. As a dedicated movie fan, I've seen some of the most talked about films and some of the films, people have never even heard of. One thing about me is that if I like a movie - most of the time it's because of either the story or the actors that made the characters related, likeable or even hated (but remember-able). I want to shed light on 5 of my favorite actors, actresses, producers and directors - because these are the folks that contribute to my movie & TV obsession!
So folks have been emailing me asking about how I find out about new movie releases and how I know about what will be a flop before it even hits theaters....The answer is - just like with anything you are extremely interested in - You research it, keep an eye and ear open, read the news, listen to the radio, check out websites, etc. I'm always looking for a new lead on movies that are in production or movies that are yet to start production but I find out my info from different sources. I decided to share my top three sites with anyone who wants to be as knowledgeable about movies as I am without giving away all my secrets. I hope you will continue to support me even knowing me a few of my most frequented movie sites :)
Entertainment Weekly - This is my top website because they are all about movies, TV shows, etc. They are a wonderful resource of information.
Internet Movie Database or IMDB - Wonderful for trailers, behind the scenes looks, etc.
Yahoo Movies - This is a good resources for interviews, trailers, movie reviews, etc.
"Twist and Turns"
My Movie Grading - B
This was actually quite a interesting movie. I was really pleased with the acting and the storyline. Began on a high note and ended on a high note. All around this was a must see. Idris's character is sadistic but charming so you are never really sure what direction he's going to take it in until he just snaps. Taraji's character Terry is a little too trusting in the beginning but she ends on a ass kicking note. I don't want to give too much away but it's definitely worth the money. Going to support the extremely sexy cast - Idris Elba and Taraji P. Henson is worth it cause they work well together. CHECK IT OUT!!!!
That's my take,
